Transport

The A82 is easily accessible from Muirlands with the B832 joining the A-road approximately 500 metres to the north east. Luss is around 3.5 miles north, Balloch 4 miles south east and Helensburgh 4.5 miles southwest of The Hamlet.

Helensburgh known as the ‘Garden City of the Clyde’ boasts a lively high street with independent shops, cafes, and restaurants, along with attractions like the Tower Cinema and art galleries. It offers a wide range of professional services, amenities and medical services. Helensburgh also provides schooling for all ages and excellent local and national shopping facilities. Both Helensburgh and Balloch offer a regular train service into the heart of Glasgow making commuting easy. Otherwise Glasgow city centre is only about 45 mins away by car (28 miles). Glasgow Airport (a 30 minute drive) also provides regular domestic and international flights to a wide variety of destinations.

There are several railway stations close to Muirlands, with the nearest being Helensburgh Upper about 3.7 miles away with Balloch and Helensburgh just 4 miles away. Muirlands is served by the 302 bus service (3 per day each way) operating Monday-Saturday between Carrick Castle and Helensburgh via Luss.
